Protection for the Home Using Ultraviolet Technology

 Allergies? Colds? Influenza?

What a mess our everyday existence can revert to. Is there an answer? Certainly, and it starts in your home. The simple task of ensuring a clean air home environment can enrich your lifestyle beyond belief.

Enter the Fuller Air Series, a scientifically correct solution. This unique system is your introduction to the world of germ destruction. Let's face it, microbiological problems can be frightening mainly because we are unable to see them. But the Air Series can.

The Air Series encompasses state of the art compact design for residential and light commercial applications. Germicidal ultraviolet lamps have been used for years in the food processing industry, medical industry, and many other areas as a means of destroying microorganisms. UV lamps are capable of killing bacteria, many viruses, mold spores, and pollen that are airborne in everyday commercial and residential environments.

The design characteristics of the Air Series systems make safety a primary feature. First, a safety switch deactivates the lamps when the unit is detached from the duct. In addition, UV lamps are never seen since they are inserted into the HVAC ductwork. Placement of germicidal lamps in ductwork can be a very effective means of destroying microbial contamination. Ultraviolet germicidal lamps can destroy microorganisms that come in contact with the powerful UVC rays. This method is recommended by the Centers for Disease Control.

What You Should Know About the Air Series.

ALL FULLER MODELS TREAT THE ENTIRE AREA THEY ARE INSTALLED INTO, NOT JUST A PORTION.

The Air Series probe into the ductwork perpendicularly. In doing so, all four surrounding duct walls and up to 3' up and downstream of the lamp(s) are treated. This is the best way to focus ultraviolet energy in the areas where it is needed most.

THE AIR SERIES MODELS ATTACH AFTER THE HVAC HOUSING . . .

Filters trap dust and other airborne debris prior to entering the HVAC housing. Lamps positioned prior to the filter collect deposits on the lamp surface. A dust laden lamp cannot emit the full germicidal output. The UV rays cannot destroy what they can't see!

LAMP SIZES TO MATCH THE WIDTH OF YOUR DUCT . . .

No two homes are exactly alike. Your HVAC ductwork may be sized differently than your neighbors. Whatever the depth of your duct, the Air Series can match. A variety of lamp sizes to your particular duct dimensions. From 4" to 18", we can meet any duct width in most residential and light commercial applications. Lamp sizes available are:

  • 4" UVC or Ozone

  • 6" UVC or Ozone

  • 10" UVC

  • 12" UVC

  • 16" UVC

  • 18" UVC

All lamps can be positioned into the FG 2000, FG 4000, FG 6000, and FG 2003 without re-wiring or modifications to the control box.

CONTINUOUS TREATMENT . . .

Twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Lamps operating continuously last longer. As with any other light bulb, frequent on and off operation shortens lamp life. The difference in electrical cost is pennies a day.

SIMPLICITY IN ITS FINEST FORM . . .

Ultraviolet destruction of airborne germs requires a UV light bulb, ballast, and safety features. No more. No less. Some companies offer expensive equipment with unnecessary components. Not Fuller, we provide only what is needed.

WITH OVER 50 YEARS EXPERIENCE, WE KNOW WHAT WE'RE DOING . . .

To date, our equipment can be found in over forty countries worldwide.

Fuller Air Series Models . .

The Fuller Air Series consists of four models. All Fuller Air Series models equipped with a safety switch and fuse. A viewport is included to monitor lamp(s) performance. Each model is equipped with an 8' power cord for 120 V. service. Other voltages available. Mounting hardware and template provided. Lamp changeout reminders are mailed each year after unit is shipped.

Solar Brite is optional with all equipment. Solar Brite is a highly reflective material that enhances the output of UVC lamps. The material can be attached to the inside of the duct.

FG 2003 Air Series Unit

There are many sources of odors - smoking, cooking, pets, even bacterial. Bacterial odors are created when particulates travel and settle in the duct. This bacteria eventually is transformed into food, wreaking havoc in the form of odors and mold. For odor control, this model is equipped with one UVC lamp, and one 6" ozone lamp. Can be equipped with sail switch. Standard model wires directly to a relay on the blower.

LIST PRICE: $360.00

Frequently Asked Questions Regarding UVC . . .

  What is UVC?

Ultraviolet Germicidal Energy is produced by low level mercury lamps. The lamps are made of a special glass which allows the passage of light rays emanating at 254 nanometers. This particular energy has the capability to kill all micro- organisms it comes in contact with. The destruction is accomplished quickly and effectively. UV rays strike the the various micro- organisms, whether they are bacteria, virus, mold or algae, and break through the outer membrane. By breaking through the membrane, the cell de- stabilizes, destroying itself.

Is UVC safe in the home?
Inadvertent exposure to UV rays is controlled by careful design of equipment. The HVAC housing and duct runs provide protection against ultraviolet rays produced by the Air Series models. A safety switch disables power to the unit when removed from the duct. Refer to Bulletin 66 or go here to learn more on UVC.

What will Ultraviolet do in my ductwork/ HVAC System?
As air circulates through the home via the HVAC system, airborne contaminants travel through the system. This contaminated air can deposit microbes in the ductwork, HVAC housing, as well as re- circulate them through the home. With proper placement, the UVC lamps will destroy these germs in a quite efficient manner.

   Is it cost effective?

Typically, our standard line is rated at less than 30 watts. Electrical consumption is minor. The life of a UV lamp is generally 9,000 hours. Lamp change outs are required just once a year.

Will the air my home eventually be germ free?

Regardless of day or time of year, outside air introduced into the home will always be contaminated. However, the air in your home will be dramatically cleaner, and will be continuously treated with the Fuller Air Series.

   Where else is UVC effective?

For over 50 years, Fuller Ultraviolet Corp. has installed UVC systems, with great success, in the following applications:

Food Packaging and Processing Sugar Storage and Refining Confectionaries Beverage and Brewing Facilities
Hospitals and Clinics Offices and Office Buildings Water Treatment Facilities Pharmaceutical Packaging
Cosmetic Processing Schools  Bacteriological Processing Pathology Rooms
Autopsy and Emergency Rooms Areas of Infectious Properties Clean Rooms Kennels, Pens, Incubators, Stables
